Jamie & Patrick | Groton, MA | August 7, 2021

I met Jamie through our local Facebook group - she lives just a town over from me. She was looking for a photographer for her Summer wedding at her new home she and Patrick recently purchased. Normally, I have phone calls with the bride before they book me. But Jamie (in what I quickly learned was true “Jamie fashion”) invited me over to her home and told me to bring my dog and my daughter along, as well! I took the opportunity to have a kid-free outing, but did bring my dog Lucy so she could have a play date with Jamie’s dog, Charlie!

Jamie welcomed me in with open arms and a bottle of wine and we hit it off instantly. The dogs ran in circles around her pool and Jamie and I sat in the sun, sipping Pinot Noir, talking about her wedding plans. We clicked.

Jamie and Patrick’s wedding day came and it was the perfect day in Groton. The girls got ready at Jamie’s home, then we made our way to St. James Church for the wedding mass. After the ceremony and a huge group photo outside, Jamie, Patrick, myself and some of the bridesmaids made our way to downtown Groton for some portraits. We finished up back at their farmhouse and then it was time to party.

The wedding party and the guests were so nice all day, I felt like I was working along side my friends. There were laughs. There were tears. And…. there were donuts.

It was the perfect day.
